I get it in both hands equally. The only thing I can think of is nerve impingement due to muscles in the upper back/shoulder/arm area enlarging? The hands are fine all other times when not swimming and they seem to be fine when doing intervals with a bit of rest. I think it is the continuous thing that triggers it.
I don't think I should be too worried about it? Not sure.
