Right now can you name anyone more deserving? The times he has put up over the years are fantastic and his performance at the Atlanta SC Nats 2010 was one of the greatest ever also going in is the "great" Jeff Farrell. I wish I could be at the induction but can't make it this year. Congrats again to both of you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As a swimmer in his age group , I will vote for him. His times have been at the top for so long , it's hard to think of someone else in that age group that wins at nats! By the way, he shook my hand & told me to have a good race just before winning the 200 fly at Mesa nats on 2011. I think that this gave me the something extra I needed that day. Thanx Rich !!:applaud::applaud:
Here's proof that Rich has been fast for a long time! This is from the results of the 1965 Michigan High School state meet held at MSU. Check out who shares the pool record in the 50 free!

That's great! I swam with Bill Groft at York PA YMCA. One of his accomplishments was breaking the Middle Atlantic Region Senior 50 yd. Free record as a HS Soph. The former record-holder (for about 30 years!): Johnny Weissmuller. You can guess the headline in the local paper.
I'm sure somewhere there is a Masters swimmer who might be more deserving but I can't come up with one. A great swimmer and a very, very, very classy guy. Congratulations, Rich!!!!!!

Robert and all -
This is GREAT!
If you enjoy honoring our masters swimmers with ISHOF inductions, continue to support the nominations.
There are individuals who do not feel "masters swimmers" are worthy of the honor.
It is up to the numbers.
If you care - be vocal.
Considering how many of us love & appreciate Rich, this should be a HUGE thread!
