Has anyone else experienced cuts/scrapes on the bottom of the big toes or feet from flip turns? I figure it is the friction of toe against wall just before pushing off, and knowing myself I'm pretty sure there is bad technique somewhere in there causing this. If anyone has this experience and knows how to stop it, I'd appreciate any advice. Or is it just a matter of building up enough calluses? Thanks.
Are you still rotating downward as you push off? This downward motion can cause the friction you are talking about. Try to place your feet on the wall before pushing off.
