A couple of years ago I posted a similar thread:
www.usms.org/.../showthread.php
Someone in that thread recommended the Otter Masters group. I swam with them then, and twice more when I've been in London. The last time was last Aug-Sep, and the coach remembered me. The facilities are ok, but they don't charge for visiting swimmers.
Shoot me a PM if you need more info.

Hey, Glenn, thanks for this link! I found some pools I can go to if I have some spare time on my European river cruise, next month. :D
If your friend happens to be out in the western suburbs, check out the Reading Masters (www.readingswimclub.org/masters). The pools are crummy, but the people are fabulous. I've swum with them a few times. Great crew.

Damn! If I only had this link couple months ago when I've been to London... I was looking for the pool there and found nothing. :frustrated:
You could also try Spencer Swim Team which is one of the largest masters swim teams in the UK - and swim every day bar Friday ...
Socialising visits to the 19th hole ( what is swimming's equivalent ? ) after wednesday and saturday evening sessions too :anim_coffee:

Are there ever Masters Workouts in the evening in the UK that don't end up in a pub? I never encountered one and I lived there twice for three years each time. Great folk!
