I honestly didn't know that there were adult swim "teams" until about 2 days ago! I am having trouble reaching my "local" representatives to find out more information about getting started. Any suggestions? I live in Irmo, SC.

First, find a place to swim.
Go to our Places to Swim page:
1) Go to www.usms.org
2) Mouse over the blue "Local Programs" tab
3) Select "Places to Swim"
4) Enter your zip code and a mileage range (default = 25 miles)
5) Click the "Go!" button
I just did this and got three results. The first one is in Irmo, at the Northwest YMCA. Here is the listing:

It looks like they have a web site that you can check out. They also provide a contact name and phone number.
There are two other listings that come up in the search results. They are both in Columbia, SC.
