OK, Forumites, today's the last day to sign up for Nationals at Auburn. This isn't much of a game, but it's a forum tradition. So, how many swimmers will be signed up to swim at Auburn? Winner gets a round of :applaud: and a :wine: . Hey, if you find me at Nationals and introduce yourself as the winner, I'll even buy you a :chug: on Saturday, after the conclusion of the meet! :D
Good luck!
:cheerleader:
I'll start it off with: 888

Did you hear about the recent fire that destroyed Auburn's library? The really sad thing is two of the three books hadn't even been colored in yet.
Cam Newton must have used up the crayons on the first book and couldn't get the money from his father in time to start on the next two.
How does Tennesse control their birth rate? Outlaw family reunions.
Did you hear the news out of the alabama state capitol, montgomery? The governor signed into law the farm animal equality act. This gives men of alabama the right to marry their farm animals. Pigs, sheep, cows, chickens and men were seen dancing in fields throughout the state as news broke.
You forgot CLNaO (sodium Hypoclorite, bleech), it has molecular weight of 74.44.
So 44238.21 ÷ 74.44 = 794.28
__steve__, if the number of entries turns out to be 794, then I owe you a beer. :chug:
:smooch: Thanks, That Guy! Just for that, you get a beer when you finally do go to Nationals, in Nebraska!
While I'm at it, you get the award for the most creative (if faaaaar from accurate) calculated guess for the attendance. :applaud:
Thanks Elaine! I'm not sure how I'll outdo myself for Greensboro. There may be spreadsheets and lawn darts involved...
I have to admit that this started out "normal" and as I began scrolling through the comments things just got funnier and funnier! :applaud:
I'm just going to do a guess of 789.
Probably going to be a low attended meet, since swimming in that area of the country would be considered bathing.

Well played, sir!
Gonna be lots of folks in the old cee-ment pond.
I enjoy watching Alabamites feud with Tennesseeums to see who is the highest of the lowest common denominators. It is kinda like arguing about who is the thinnest person at fat camp.
Full disclosure - wife and father both are Bamalamans and I hail from Tennessee.
James,
The only downside to having the meet in Alabama, after 5 straight days of bathing, they won't get a bath again until next year.
Most of the kind folk of alabama take a bath 3 times a year, Christmas, Easter and the day marking the passing of Dale Earnhardt Sr.
Since this meet is five straight days, they won't take another one until the Daytona 500 in Feb. again in honor of number 3
That's just downright offensive. Sure, many Alabamians respect DE for being one of the best at God's favorite sport. But let's face it, DE is a North Carolina boy. And there's no need to worship a run down track like Daytona when the Garden of Eden itself is in Talladega. That's in October BTW but bathing is optional. You are going to smell like sweat and beer before the start of the race anyway.
Now, I'm off to see.... er... feed the livestock.
