Hi, i'm new to USMS and have been swimming 2-3 time per week for about 4 weeks. Usually doing between 3500 and 5Km. I just signed up for my first meet since high school. I'll be swimming in the Gil Young Memorial/Northwest Zone LCM Meet. I would love some pionters or any advice anyone has. I'm excited, but also a bit nervous. I'll be swimming the following events:
50Br
200Fr
100Br
50Fl
and maybe the 800Fr (this is the last event of the day and I'm not sure if i'll have enough left to do this one) :)

So the results are in!! My first meet was a success. Opened with the 50 *** (I thought I would go faster, but still happy with my time). Had a nice little break for the next set of 3 back to back swims! 200 Free, 100 *** and 50 Fly. Then another short break, for the 200 Free Relay. Then i closed out the meet with the 800 Free.
The Pool at Mt. Hood Community College is amazing! The best pool i have ever swam in.
Break down on events:
50 ***: 42.8
200 Free: 2:46.97
100 ***: 1:34.85
200 Free Relay (my 50 was 32.8) relay went 2:22.78
50 Fly: 39.00
800 Free: 13:03.27
So, i placed 1st in all my events!!! :bow:(um... cause i was the only one in my age group) :doh: My wife said that doesn't count, but i'm like :blah: :D. Anyway, it was a good time and I met some new people. Now to train and improve!
