2021 USMS Short Course National Championship Meet Information

The 2021 USMS Short Course National Championship is planned for July 21-25 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.

This meet, renamed from Spring Nationals just for this year, was postponed from April 29 - May 2 due the coronavirus pandemic.

Precautions will be in place with the meet split into sessions and attendance limited. We look forward to safely welcoming Masters swimmers back to this annual championship.

Entries will open May 24 and close June 21 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific time unless capacity is reached prior to the June 21 deadline. Don't delay!

  • Congrats and a big thank you to everyone who worked to put on a great meet! Great facility. Super well-run. Can’t think of anything that could have been better given the COVID circumstances. Very thankful for this opportunity to get together as a community again.

  • It was definitely a well-run meet!  Only bummer was that it seemed the facility people didn't want to tighten the lane ropes to competition level, but otherwise everything was about perfect!

  • Maybe too tight on my event...1650 lane line exploded....just kept going. I did not want to restart that bad boy.

  • Oh no!  I wasn't there for the distance days so didn't see that.  All I know was they were all over the place for some of the sprint events... or maybe that just always happens when Dan Lotano and Chuck Barnes go at it in the heat before me.

  • I was about to jump in to grab the rope and someone beat me to it.  But before that, the person counting in your lane tried to use the counter to reach the rope and bring it back to the wall.  That plan was destined to fail…sure enough she lost the counter into the pool as well.

glad they didn’t make you all restart!

  • Would the swimmer be D Qed if anyone did get in and grab the broken end and pull it back?

  • No, they would not be dq’d.
