  • Hi Jim. Last year I finished 4th in the 1,650 with a time of 28:07.24 and this year can't even get in Q time of 26:24.65 age 70-74. That is quite a time drop in my bracket. I am trying to get a faster time this year to try to get in. Hi Oz. Your 4th place Mesa finish placed you 27th on the Rankings List which is used to generate the Top Ten list from which the Q times are calculated. The Men's 70-74 2018/19 Top Ten 10th place was 23:11.37; 2017/18 was 23:53.39; 2016/17 was 24:57.00. These times average to a hair slower than 24 minutes (24:00.59). We add 10% (2:24.06) to that average arriving at the Q time of 26:24.65. Just thought I'd double check the calc for this event to put your mind at ease and so you'd know the goal time to achieve isn't an error...
