When are open water national sites announced? Are any of the sites already known? I'd like to go to 10k nationals next year, but have no idea where (or when) they will be.

August 25, 2012 - 1 Mile USMS Open Water Championships - Lake Lure, NC
Everyone needs to put this on their calendar. I did the race there this past weekend and it was fantastic. It is a scenic venue, a great course and very well run. The organizers make it fun. It is incredibly family friendly as well with a swimming area adjacent to the course, a playground, putt putt golf, etc. There are cabins and hotels in and around Lake Lure.
The 2012 USMS 5K Open Water National Championship in Morse Reservoir, Noblesville, Indiana is now scheduled for June 23, 2012. The event website with all the information will be up soon. Plan your training schedule and vacation time now. Please spread the word... our date has changed from June 16 to June 23rd.
