Thank you...I am entered now...See everyone in Mesa!
I'm looking forward to meeting you in Mesa, James! Good luck! :cheerleader: Congrats. on being able to swim in the max. number of events. I only qualify in the 50yd. breaststroke; I'm too far off NQT's for the 100 and 200yd breaststroke events. Oh well; I'm looking forward to swimming in some relays this year, in addition to my three events. And, I am most looking forward to meeting other Forumites who I didn't meet last year. You and That Guy are on my list! :agree:
I picked my 3 events! :-D See you in the 1650 free, 200 free and the 500 free! :-D
:applaud: Awesome, Michael! It looks like the long distance events have become your specialty. Hey, lay off the :chug: at Deb's party, because you'll have to swim the next day! And, you can count on me to be your :cheerleader: section! Need a lap counter? I'll be there! :banana:
As I'm sure you have already guessed, my three events will be the 50, 100, and 200 breaststroke. I'd like to swim 5, but I'm only qualified in the 50. But, I'll be in the relays! :agree:
Hey, I just posted a thread on this, but Georgia got the 2011 SwimFest, May 20-22! Bruce and I are keeping our guest bedroom open for you if you want it!

Can't you swim 4 then? This has always been a small source of confusion for me; I thought that BECAUSE you got an NQT - you could actually sign up for more events. So your event total is (Events with NQT + Events w/out NQT) or is that completely off kilter?

From what I understand, I would have to make NQT's in three events to be able to swim in 5 individual events at Nationals. So, since I only qualified in one of those three events, I can only swim three individual events- plus relays.
bzaks1424 is correct.
Anyone can swim 3 events at Nationals with no qualifying times. If you have one qualifying time, you can swim that event plus 3 others. If you have 2 qualifying times, you can swim those two events plus 3 others. If you have 3 qualifying times, you can swim those three events, plus 3 others.
Relays have no qualifying times and do not count toward your 6 event limit.

Elaine - since you have 1 NQT in the 50 *** you can swim that one...then for your 3 non-NQT events you can do the 100 ***, 200 *** and the 200 Fly!!!
:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:
Just a suggestion...I thought it was pretty good. Remember that *** and fly are both short-axis strokes, so they compliment each other. :)
