OK, it may be over a year away but why not start a thread on 2011 Short Course (Spring) Nationals? This meet will be held at the newly-renovated Kino Aquatics Center in Mesa, which is just east of Phoenix. So go ahead and pipe in, I'm sure we will get some good conversation flowing.
Good luck everyone! Especially my GAJA teamates! Wish I was there!
BTW, none of you 35-39 guys go faster than my current top 10 times please! :thhbbb:
Thanks, Lump! Tomorrow, GAJA will be represented in a mixed free relay. We have just enough people to put this together, so it will be me ( :afraid: ) and Malena, along with the Beatty brothers. (I'm waaaay out of my league!) On Saturday, we'll be back at it again in the mixed relay.
The atmosphere at the pool was great today and it was fun cheering bzaks1424 on in the 1650! Debaru came out to watch and join in :cheerleader:, as well.
Good luck fellow Forumites!
Cheers!

Good luck to all and see everyone on Saturday. I'll be flying down on Friday afternoon to Phoenix. Since I don't have one of those "cool" phones (my phone will allow me to make phone calls), I won't be able to post anything till I get to a real computer, which will more than likely be Monday evening. :)

Hey James! I'm looking forward to meeting you at the pool. I will be :cheerleader:for you! Good luck!!

Sounds good...I can probably use a little :cheerleader: with all those speedy 30 year old kids in my heats!!
For those following the realtime results, they are having a hard time with their Internet connection on the pool deck and are only able to get heat results up every few heats, especially for the shorter events. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Damn public schools and their internet filters! No Facebook, no porn, no masters swimming results....go figure!
Congratulations to everyone who participated at a very successful nationals run by Paul Smith! He has a lot to be proud of and the Mesa area has definite set a precedent to be followed for years to come!

P.S. Elaine says hey! :D
Huge thanks and props to Paul. When a meet runs like clockwork--as this one did--you know there was a lot of work going on behind the scenes. Also, Paul, thank all the other volunteers and especially those working the awards table. On Sunday afternoon people were descending on the area like vultures trying to pick up their final medals before catching their flights. The awards table people were obviously harried a little, but did a good job keeping their cool!
:applaud::applaud:It was nice to meet Paul after all the questions I had asked him in the last 6 months. What a great meet! If I ever go again this meet will always be my fav of ALL ti:bow::bow:me!
