OK, it may be over a year away but why not start a thread on 2011 Short Course (Spring) Nationals? This meet will be held at the newly-renovated Kino Aquatics Center in Mesa, which is just east of Phoenix. So go ahead and pipe in, I'm sure we will get some good conversation flowing.
Once my parents and I set down our chairs, my tent is free on a first-come, first-served basis (no bribery or cold hard cash required).
Does paying off the officials during your races count as a bribe?

I was planning on taking it easy in the sun. I know how it can be, and skin cancer does run in my family history. I'll go for medium cooked, but well done is too much.
Some Spring Nationals are over early and others last a long time. In 2003, we had 1,922 swimmers in Tempe, with two 8-lane courses, and Saturday lasted til about 5 pm. Mesa will have two 9-lane course so the meet will run faster. Also, the events on Saturday are different than Tempe. After entries close, an estimated time-line will be published on the USMS website.
How long does a typical Nationals swim meet last? I would like to fly home on Saturday after my last event but I'm afraid to book a flight without knowing approximately when I should be finished. :bolt:
