As those who were at Nationals in Indianapolis know, the organization ran out of medals early Sunday morning. The people at the awards desk told us to write down our event, its number along with our name and address and the medals would be mailed to us shortly. It has been a month and there has not been a word that I could find about the status of the medals or when we can expect them. For those of us who are medal deprived this is important. Can anyone give clarity to the medal status?
Per Kris Houchens,
"Our medals were custom made so it is taking a while to get the reorder. When we get an exact date I will get it posted on the USMS site or something so people will know when to expect them."
I would give it some more time. Indy Swim Fit is a first class operation. They will ensure this is taken care of.
Thank you Chris for the follow-up. I agree with you that Indy Swim Fit is a first class operation. From the information I received the shortage of medals was not a failure of the organizational committee. I was becoming antzy given the absence of any information.
Thank you again for your efforts in putting together and running the Long Course Nationals.

Many of us received medals this week for 2009 Long Course Nationals. Some were batched together since they belonged to members of the same team. However, included in the envelope mailed to Diann Bauer of St Louis Masters were two medals for swimmers from other teams.
I do not know what to do with these medals to get them to their rightful owners: Dorothy Tourtual of Niagara District Masters and Corrin Popps of Michigan Masters.
Appreciate guidance.

Mary -
I can get Corrin's medals to her if you have not heard from anyone regarding this already. Please email me directly at baileyteam1@yahoo.com and I'll reply with an address to send the medals to. Thanks for making us aware of the mix up.
