I've entered the 1000 free at Nationals but won't be traveling to Clovis with my wife or family. I also don't have any teammates participating.
Does anyone know if there are counters in the volunteer crew? If not, I was maybe going to look for a teenager that I could pay $20 to count for me. But realizing the distance free events are on a Thursday, all such kids are going to be in school.

Chris Colburn heads up a team of "On Deck Coaches" at nationals for swimmers to call on for help if they don't have a coach of their own attending.
I'm sure the team of coaches can help if there is a problem finding a counter.
I'll be there on deck for distance day as a coach - not swimming until the next day - the same as Jim.
So no worries, someone will help you out.
