:dunno: Does anyone know how they determine the official yardage for the 1 hour swim. My entry form recorded a total of XX87 yards completed and adjusted downward to the nearest 5 yard which was XX85 yards but I only recieved credit for XX70 yards. I completed my turn at the 75 yards and swam a stroke or two and then the horn sounded. This was my first 1 hour swim and I did it with a group of 24 other swimmers. I am not complaining...I just don't understand why the yardage was adjusted down. If we did something wrong, and we know what it was, we can correct it next time.
Maybe if you would have entered numbers instead of letters for your distance you would have received more credit. :bolt:
Have you contacted the event director? There is a possibility that he couldn’t read your entry or just short fingered your distance.
I tried to contact the event director. His given e-mail address was not working. Oh, and I didn't want to brag about how many thousand yards I completed, that's why the X's :laugh2:.
Go to the USMS home page. Scroll down to the "What's New" section. Look for the preliminary 1 hour swim results posted March 19 or maybe this link will work.
