Is it allowed to use converted times for entering long course nationals? Long course meets are few and far between but I have plenty of short course times that when converted are well below the qualifying times for long course nationals. I would like to be able to swim six events so I actually need times in at least three. As another option how long is it before times expire? Can I use times from 2006 worlds for 2008 nationals?
Thanks
Or is the whole thing pretty laid back and nobody's really going to care?
And yes to this, too.
David, there is a long course meet in Tacoma in June. It's all short events, though. I haven't swum at that pool, but I've heard it's shallow and not real fast. You could also register with USA Swimming and swim one of their meets in the "open" category (i.e., any age). Check out the PNS site for info on their meets: www.teamunify.com/Home.jsp
There's also a popular outdoor long course meet in Wenatchee (Apple Capital meet) the last weekend in May. That's in the Inland Empire LSC: www.ieswim.org/.../meets0708.htm
