LC Nats qualifying times

Is it allowed to use converted times for entering long course nationals? Long course meets are few and far between but I have plenty of short course times that when converted are well below the qualifying times for long course nationals. I would like to be able to swim six events so I actually need times in at least three. As another option how long is it before times expire? Can I use times from 2006 worlds for 2008 nationals? Thanks

I assume converted times would be acceptable or do they have to be swum in the same course as the meet? I swam the 1650 today and my time of 20:31.73 converted to LCM works out to 21:03.75, just under the QT of 21:04.29 for my age. Or is the whole thing pretty laid back and nobody's really going to care? Anyway that gets me up to 3.
