The meet hotel that is closest to the Aquatics Center is all sold out. Has anyone stayed at the Super 8 which is about a half of a mile down the road? I've heard bad things and good things. I've heard the area is bad and not so bad. It would be great if someone from the area could fill me in on the scene.
it's a one or two star hotel, affordable not fancy

I decided to book a room with the Embassy instead. I didn't want to stay there and have the chance that something went wrong.
Any tips for visiting Austin? Are you near the Austin area?
