I'm at the Yankee Clipper Sheraton. Just curious where others are staying.
Actually I called yesterday to make sure I could get a non-smoking room and they didn't have any record of my reservation. I booked through Expedia, so I guess I better get that straightened out in the next week!!
Hope to see some of you in Florida. I'm getting psyched!
I am really excited as well. I am staying at the Radisson Bahia Mar since it was the hotel closest to the pool. I am a little concerned about the heat. To prepare I have been going to HOT YOGA classes, running outside and driving around in my car with the air conditioning off...Nonetheless I love this pool and this facility and I have done some of my best times here.
I've been to Lauderdale a few times, but never for swimming. The heat shouldn't be too bad, I don't think. Mid 80s or so? Even though I like watching the meet I find it best to go back to my hotel and laze around in the a/c during the downtimes between events.
I'm staying at the Yankee Clipper Sheraton....I hope! Maybe I'd better check my reservation too. Kirk, I hope you are able to get your reservation straightened out!

Yes, I was. I tried again yesterday and got the same response at first: they couldn't find my reservation. So I asked if they were checking the Yankee Clipper, and they said "no, the Yankee Trader." Once they looked at the correct hotel they found my reservation :) If that's the reservation number for both hotels I'm not sure why they assumed I was staying at the other property, but oh well, everything seems to be o.k.
Holiday Inn on the Beach, about 1.5 miles away from pool. Hard to pass up since i am a platinum member and am using my points to stay there a week, for free :-)
Hope everyones taper is going well.
