How many people form USMS go to compete at masters worlds? I found qualifying times, but nothing above and beyond that. Can anyone give me more info. Also, is there any sort of sponsorship or is it if you want to go you have to pay your own way. Anyone know who is hosting this year (2005)? Thanks!

  • I am new to this site (and Masters swimming) so "please" have some patience with me on this....but does anyone know where we can find the information about qualifying to swim a particular event (or events) at the World Championships in 2006 in San Francisco? Its not available yet. It is two years away. The Qual times have to be approved by the FINA Bureau, and we are planning to make the presentation to the Bureau in July, 2005. We will post where and what the qualifying times are when they are available. If you look at this years qual times for Riccione, you will have an idea of what the times will be. Is there a cut off date to qualify by? No. But if you dont swim that qual time or faster, you do not get a time at Worlds. michael moore, chairman LOC XI FINA World Masters Championships Stanford, California
