I'm registered to attend Indy, but I've never been to the pool. Can someone tell me if there is parking available for the swimmers? I'm staying at a hotel which requires that we drive in to the pool every day of the meet. I looked over the pool web site, but I couldn't find information about parking. Thanks.
Yes, parking is available in the garage on Vermont Street. You'll need to purchase a parking pass at check-in for $20 that will be good for 4 days. You can also pay by the day.
The Vermont parking garage is one long block from the pool. It's near the Medical Center (northwest of the pool).
There is another parking garage right next to the pool, but I gather that one will not be available. Perhaps you can park there on Wednesday, but there will also be a charge.
There are no shuttles provided from the hotels.

Since school is still in session parking in the adjacent garage is at a premium, therefore the garage is available only to school administrators or professors. Some spaces will be available for key officials, but not for swimmers. This is a new university policy that has been instituted this year.
I am puzzled, usually the parking garage by the pool is open for USA meets with special events parking charge of 5.00. Is it going to be open on the weekend?
But perhaps not on Saturday and Sunday? I went to the Grin classic in October on a Sunday and parked in the garage. I went to a big age group meet in November on a Saturday and Sunday and parked there. Or is it new for 2004.
If so, it will be a mess for the big age group meets!
