Seeding for the 800 and 1500 Free will be one per lane from slow to fast for all swimmers. Men and women’s heats will alternate for the 800 and 1500 Free (heat 1 of the men will swim first, then heat 1 of the women, heat 2 of the men, then heat 2 of the women, etc.).
For Cleveland, the Meet Info specifically stated that two-per-lane swimmers will swim before single lane swimmers. For Rutgers the Meet Info states that heats having two per lane will swim before those with one per lane. Because no one will be swimming two per lane, the seeding will be from slowest to fastest for each gender for all swimmers. Allowing swimmers who volunteered to swim two per lane to swim one per lane before the other swimmers results in a longer swim day (as much as an hour or so depending on who does not check in).
