This traditional DAM event has a new identity in recognition of it's founder, Ross Yancher. Ross, the Davis Aquatic Masters head coach from 1981 to 1988, passed away late last year and the event was renamed in his memory.

For nearly a decade, DAM has been challenging USMS members to be a brute ... what's a brute? Well, the Brute Squad event takes the three most difficult events in swimming: the 200 butterfly, the 400 IM, and the 1650 freestyle, and combines them into a single event! Start the clock. Swim a 200 fly. Then a 400 IM. Follow that up with a 1650 free. Stop the clock. Ready? Sounds crazy, doesn't it? Not, really.
Over the past eight years, nearly 1,000 USMS members have competed in the event and from those results an original TOP TEN TIMES list was compiled.
Whether you're a past competitior and want to see where you rank or interested in swimming for the first time, use the links below to see where you stand or to plan your pacing in advance.

I would encourage you to promote this event in 2018 ... and maybe make the qualification period longer? Could you keep this open for the entirety of 2018 or is that just a logistical nightmare. I think it would take a special amount of motivation to try this and suspect I'd have a few failed attempts along the way, so it would be cool to have a long period in which to get psyched up enough and in shape enough to do this.
