And of course like all Masters Meets the event will be great fun. We look forward to seeing you on the 6th July.
wow a very very nice looking facility. i would love to go to this meet. my sis-in-law lives in Heath and this would be an easy meet to attend. if i could only swim....sigh.

Thanks Steve. I dont think the age group swimmers know just how good they have it. Growing up in England i swam in some very small old pools. I believe when i grew up there may have been 2 or 3 decent 50m pools in the entire country. Its an awesome facility.
Shame about your injury but next time you are visiting come and train with us.
It is a great pool, and I would be there if I could, but will actually be in the UK visiting family. We also timed this trip so well (NOT) that I get to miss Zones on 20th July too!
My kid really has no idea how good she has it - we're there in a couple of weeks for her very first A meet (yes - proud parent alert - she made her very first A time today - I need to tell everyone) :)
I am assuming the Bill Nixon Invitational? An A time is a very big achievement and something to be very proud of. I wish your daughter the best of luck.
I have the reverse vacation from you, in that my parents are coming here from the uk and are actually going with me to zones. Funny how that worked out. I look forward to meeting you in the future.
I definitely plan on entering the meet. Is the water kept at a good racing temperature (78-80)?
Terrific. The pool temperature is great and set to a good race temperature.
Thanks! Yes the Bill Nixon Meet. I'm sure it'll be an experience, its a 45min or so drive to a 6.30am warm-up for her to swim 50m breaststroke, and since her time is 0.05 under the cut, she's very unlikely to final. Still she has worked hard these last few months so deserves it and I have my fingers crossed she'll get the A time in the 100 as well the following week.
Sorry for the hi-jack. Its a great pool - please do sign up for the meet :)

'fly - good to see you posting again.
Congrats to your kid. That's a nice achievement. I hope she enjoys the meet and it makes her hungry for more success!
Thanks to everyone involved in conducting the meet. Great facility, good order of events, efficiently run, very friendly volunteers. Excellent turnout especially considering that it was held over the July 4th weekend. I hope you'll consider hosting more meets. I really enjoyed it, despite my painfully slow swims.

Karlene, I will pass your thanks along. Our coach Tom did a great job organizing the meet and deserves a lot of credit. We have been asked to consider applying for zones so hopefully that will happen and I am sure there will be another meet next year. Thanks for coming up from Houston.
