This is not a US Masters event, it is also late notice...This Saturday, August 27, 2011!
This is a Charity Swim that is being organized by an age group swimmer from Klamath Falls as a senior project. I found out about it at the Klamath Basin swim team's open meet. I brought some sign up forms back to Medford and posted them at the YMCA.
The young woman that is doing this as her project contacted me and told me that she is not having the response that she'd hoped for - so I'm putting it up here. She told me that if I could get anyone else to show that she'd only ask the early registration and not the day of event registration...so, please come swim and you can say that Tom sent you!
This is a charity swim. The proceeds are benefiting Henley High Swim Team, Klamath Basin Aquatics and Klamath Animal Shelter.
This is not a long event. There are only three distances, and they're all short (IMO). There is a 1/4 mile, a 1/2 mile and a mile swim. (There is the possibility of 'doubling up', I'm going to do 2 mi...but I didn't mention that!)

Registration and check in begins at 8:00 am
Aspen Point, Lake of the Woods, Oregon ($7 parking fee for Aspen Point, not included in registration.)
1/4 mile, $20 registration, Start time 10:00 am
1/2 mile, $25 registration, Start time 10:45 am
1 mile, $30 registration, Start time 11:45 am
It is hot here is Southern Oregon this week. Take the morning off, come up to Lake of the Woods for a refreshing swim and support Ashley in her senior project! :banana:
