MAC 2011 SCM East Valley Invite

2011 Short Course Meters East Valley Invite September 24-25, 2011 Sanction by Arizona Masters Swimming for USMS, Inc. Sanction #481-0015 Facility: Kino Aquatics Center, 848 N. Horne, Mesa AZ 8582 Directions: From almost anywhere take the 202 Red Mountain Hwy to McKellips, exit and head east to Horne. Turn south on Horne until you arrive at Kino Junior High School, the pool is located on the northwest side of campus . Parking: Free parking is available in the Kino Junior High parking lot as well as on street parking. Course: Outdoor. Competition pool is 25 meters, 8 lanes will be used for competition, 8 short course yard lanes will be available for continuous warm-up. Time: Warm‐ups begin at 7:30am. Meet begins at 8:30am Entries: Swimmers are limited to a maximum of 5 events per day. The 400, 800, 1500 and 400IM will be limited to the first 24 entries received. Entries are due by Sunday, September 18th. Email Entries to: erinmbshields@gmail.com, with: (a) name as registered with USMS, (b) USMS number, (c) team/club, (d) DOB, and (e) events with entry times. Then promptly send a check for $25 and a copy of your 2011 USMS registration card and Consolidated Entry form waiver to Mesa Aquatics Club, c/o Erin Shields, 1957 E. Fairmont Dr., Tempe, AZ 85282. You can also mail entries with using the consolidated entry form located at www.azlmsc.org Check In: Positive check in is required for the 1500, 800, 400 & 400 IM by 7:30am the day of each event Seeding: All events will be seeded slowest to fastest, by entered time, ages and sexes combined. Entry Fees: There is a $25.00 flat fee per swimmer Checks payable to: Mesa Aquatics Club. Mail consolidated entry card, a copy of your 2011 USMS card, and check to: Mesa Aquatics Club, 1957 E. Fairmont Dr. Tempe AZ 85282 Rules: 2011 USMS/AZLMSC rules will govern the meet. All swimmers must be registered with USMS for 2011. Participants may be asked to assist in back up timing. I just sent my entries...now it's time to restart my training!! :banana: Okay all you distance-oriented, western-based forumites, James and I have locked up 2 of the coveted 24 slots for the 800 on Sunday and we have committed to the nasty triple. Who else has game to join us? Calling ... Aquageek -- come love the pool you loved so much in spring; burn those FF miles you just earned from your riot tour of the UK knelson -- this will be a piece of cake after Big Shoulders Ande -- master of the mid-distance these days, this would be a great season-starter for you gdanner -- okay, it's probably a little far to travel, but weren't you looking for meets this fall? Kurt Dickson -- I'm sure Paul will let you sandbag if you need to:bighug:
