Congratulations to Tim Carlson on breaking the FINA World Record in the 200 IM for the men 30-34 with a 2:03.74.
U.S. Masters Swimming records were set in the 800 free by David Sims for the men 45 - 49 with a 8:52.84 and George Wendt for the men 60-64 with a 9:53.30.
Lois Kivi Nochman, age 85, set a USMS record in the 200 *** with a 5:50.16.
After the first day, the Chicago Smelts lead all 42 teams.
I caught the last bit of the swimming yesterday at Ratner. It looks like a wonderful pool to swim in.
