Cactus Classic is USMS sanctioned

Everyone looking for a great meet at a great facility to start off your long course season, I'd encourage you to come out to Tempe over the Memorial Day weekend to swim at the Cactus Classic at Arizona State University. The cut times are fairly fast, but it would be nice to see a strong group of Masters' swimmers support this event. In addition to being a great event, a portion of every event entered will go to the "SAVE ASU SWIMMING" foundation to support ASU's men's swimming program. See attached flyer and check back at www.scottsdaleswim.com on the events link for any further information and future updates.

  • I didn't know that they had 50s of the strokes this year until Friday, so I put my entry in only for the 50 ***, which will take place on Memorial Day. I'll be just starting my taper for the Southwest Invite in Tucson 12 days later, so this will be just a "see how it goes" swim. My prediction is that Jeff will scorch the pool with his 50M *** and leave a bunch of kids walking around wondering what they just witnessed. That's "hot it goes" when Jeff is in the water for sprint events. Actually, Jeff cranked out a fast 200 Free this spring at ASU so maybe a repeat performance is in order ;-)
