Great meet with lots of very fast swimming...nice to have Rob Butcher in attendence and take down all the youngsters in the 50/200 ***! Also, Norika Inada and Kohei Kawamato each took down some very impressive records.
W30-34 Short Course Yards Records
50 Back Angel Martino 04-15-00 25.73
100 Back K Pipes-Neilsen 05-04-96 57.13
* Nori was 24+ & 54+

50 Fly Sabir Muhammad 03-25-04 21.15
100 Fly Matthew T Marshall 04-13-08 48.36
* Kohei was 20.9 & 47.1
Neither was rested, Kohei wore the LZR leggings, Nori wore and old FSII (she also borke the 200 back record by Karlyn of 1:59 with a 1:57 at a kids meet that wasn't USMS sanctioned where she also went 53.3 in the 100 back).
(Very biased response)
Meet was very well run (kudos to Mark Rankin and the BEST Masters' crew)
Weather was beautiful
Facility was wonderful
Deep, cool water
Loads of deck/lounging space
Loads of warm-up/warm-down lanes (something like 15 lanes)
Timing relative to SCY nationals and to big "Nov/Dec SCM meets was great whether you chose to taper or not (I did)
Anyone looking for a great meet in 2010, you should consider this. Even if it's not at BEST again, it'll probably be at equally great facilities like ASU or U of A.
