Cheryl Ward asked me to post this:
The Colonies Zone SCY Championship meet will be held April 24-26, 2009 at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. The entry deadline is April 10 but if you're interested in swimming the 1650 free there are only 20 spots left as of yesterday's mail.

I promise not to take one of those coveted distance slots. Perhaps we can have a redo of the post Zones party at Chez Fortress. The guest cottage is already booked!
Fort,
What airport would you fly into?
Mark
Washington Dulles is closest. But you could fly into National too.
Oh, I have asked Cheryl to consider having a break or two on the women's side of the pool to keep the two pools on roughly the same timeline. Last year, the women got much less rest between events. And everyone knows how aggro'd I get over that. lol
Washington-Dulles (IAD) or Washington (Reagan) National (DCA) are both within 30min of GMU .
Baltimore (BWI) is 1+hrs if you can tolerate the longer trip.
Thanks for the heads up about the 1650. That is kind of crazy that spots are already filled.
Since distance day is Friday and events start at 6pm, there's not a LOT of time for heats. But you can have my spot :afraid:

Thanks Leslie and Pete.
Oh, and nobody has to worry about me trying to take one of those precious distance spots, either.:bolt:

i would charter a small plane and land on the beltway. trust me, this would have no adverse effect on traffic delays what-so-ever.
Hmmm...Round trip tix from ATL on Airtran for a total of $128. I'm gonna have to check on lodging next. Hmmm...
That's a good deal! I paid more to get to ATL for the Auburn meet. GMU is also faster than the other NC pools except maybe TAC, I suspect.

So who is sleeping in my bed? Tell her (or them) that she (or they--elllas in Spanish) is (are) not allowed to snore or wiggle around too seductively during my refractory period.

FlyQueen booked it months ago. Think she is still planning on coming, although she just injured her back. However, rest assured that there will be a room for Jimby the Zonesman/Vlogsman.
