Mark this event for your calendars next year: Greenwich, CT 2 mile Ocean swim (see http://www.gscevents.org). This was a beautiful event -- nice ferry ride out to Island Beach, very well-marked out & back course, wonderful water temp, great organizers, etc. It's a smaller event not on the scale of things like La Jolla Rough Water, but a nice way to close out a summer season or gear up for a fall season.
Definitely check it out in the future.
