The entry for the Tempe Town Lake open water swim on October 4th is now available at www.sundevilmasters.org. We are offering a 1600-meter and an 825-meter race. Look under open water.
Tempe Town Lake is located in the heart of Tempe, AZ (where we held Short Course Nationals). There are walking trails beside the lake so spectators can follow along as the race progresses. The awards ceremony for the race is being held in the city's Oktoberfest Celebration.
As a bonus to distance swimmers, you can swim in the open water swim and then participate in the Southwest Zone SCM Championships which are being held at Arizona State University (about a half mile away). During the meet, you will have a chance to swim both the 800 and the 1500. Swimmers participating in both events will receive a 10% discount of entry fees.
