I start Life guard trainning in a few weeks. Do you have any advice on what workouts i could do to be better prepared? I only have access to a pool about once a week so are there any dryland workouts that will help?

Elementary backstroke kick is a whip kick and so is breaststroke kick essentually. Sidestroke kick is a scissor kick. The lifesaving stroke is a type of sidestroke with the top leg recovering backward and the bottom leg recovering forward so you don't kick your victim.
