So we have a "swim rant" thread, but I wanted to post my "swim happy" moment today, probably brought on by being out of the water for over a week.
Pool reopened after maintenance + clear, fresh perfect temp water + 6 lap lanes between 4 lap swimmers = 4200yd :bliss:
Good to meet you too, James. Maybe next year for the 200, after I've got a lot more 100s under my belt. See you at PNA!
But not in the 100 Fly for me this time. Don't miss the 200 Free though. That'll be a good one to watch. I'll be in there, but not freestyle! :)
After all these years, I finally think I gotten the "feel" for swimming down hill.:bliss:
I can actually feel that my legs aren't dragging!:banana:
Now all have have to do is keep at it and make it second nature.:blah:
"Lightening" struck in our community and the pool heater is currently "inoperable". The water temperature was 79 degrees this morning, so the noodlers went to use the outdoor pool and I had the entire indoor 79 degree pool to myself. :D :bliss:
(Note: The words in quotes were directly taken from the sign posted on the door of the pool. Misspellings were the HOA's, not mine!)
*starts drum roll*
I'm hoping there's a good punchline to this...
dictionary.reference.com/.../lightening
smilies are unrelated :cake::bed::banana::2cents::argue:
What is the correlation between pool heaters and pregnancy?
I put inoperable in quotes, because this was exactly the word used on the sign posted on the door! :D
(Uhhhh, I'm the one who misspelled "lightning", however, the sign on the door was also misspelled; probably the reason for it sticking in my head that way!)
