will NYCswim have real-time GPS tracking of swimmer progress in this year's Manhattan Island Marathon Swim?
I managed to 'follow' the 2009 Ederle Swim online and thoroughly enjoyed it...
best of luck to Chaos and others... I wish I were available to volunteer.

thank you!
i think there will be facebook updates and tweets from the manhattan island foundation.
Will it be possible to watch the swimmers from the streets by the Hudson river?
near the finish, swimmers will come close to the seawall, otherwise, we will be a couple of hundred yards off shore.
pier 17 is where we will hook up with our escort boats and there is a low footbridge in the harlem river that offers a good view.
MIF announced that there will be a gps link to follow swimmers..... more info to come.

Thanks. Not sure if we could walk as fast as you swim while watching. :) Good luck! It's a looooooong swim!
Thanks for posting the real-time tracking link!
Good luck, Dave and Chick o' Sea! You've trained, practiced, shivered; you're ready for this swim.
Have fun, enjoy the day!
