Good to hear you folk are going. Only one thing... how will I know you, since I've never seen any of you before? (I don't really look like a fish and haven't reached the point of swimming like one, so just watch for the last finisher....) ;) I hope they are more friendly than the California guys that shot 6 people down the street from me when I moved there. I called Chuckie right away and told her don't sell the house. I packed up and drove right home.
If I come I will be the 6'3" old guy who walks a little funny and has a gorgeous blond beside me.
Finally got myself to the local h.s. pool, so now I have that membership as a back-up for times when I can't use the Y. It's actually a pretty nice pool too!
Sharkbait, you're way ahead of me... four or five miles? I was at 3400 yards and am looking to reach 3600+ before the race. They'll be taking down the finish before I reach it, I'm afraid, but at least my bf will still wait for me--he's not swimming it, just spectating. (He's a runner, not a swimmer and has no intention to change that status.)
