Videos of What to NOT do
Please share your swimming videos of what to not do.
In swim faster faster I've written the best way to split a 200 is:
go out with easy speed,
breathe often,
don't do too many SDKs and
hold your last 3 50's around exactly the same.
Here's what can happen if you go out too hard.
You don't swim your race as fast as you could have if you split your race right and
you get to take a ride on the pain train.
Andrew Wang went in the 57.36 in the 100 fl and he swam the 200 fly in the finals at the 2011 American Short Course Championships in Austin, TX on Sat March 5th, 2011

I timed at ACC's at GA Tech a few weeks ago and in the B-Final a kid from UNC split his 200 fly like this:
23.39
26.19 (49.58)
27.62
32.29 (59.9)
It was SO painful to watch! :badday:
How about the guy at the Auburn meet in the 100 ***:
28.50
36.69
I think I have video of that one...
LOL! That ranks up there in the Master's category! :D

Nope. Moussambani's a "do". Guy worked hard and finished. He's my hero.
I didn't understand the posting of that video either. He may not of had the greatest stroke in the world, but at least he showed up and did it.

(Watching it now...) The guy next to you sprinted the first 25 and then backed off. What was that about?
As we stepped onto the blocks (last heat of the meet), I asked jokingly to everyone if anyone wanted to "Race to the 25". :) The one kid said OK...I figured he was joking too. After the dive, he took off, and I had to try to catch him...I think I did beat him at the flip to the 25.
