Rowdy's long standing 200 free record went down on the lead off of the 800 Free Relay by Conor Dwyer. Just WOW!
21.36 44.46 (44.46)
1:07.94 (1:07.94) 1:31.73 (1:31.73)
on Rowdy's birthday nonetheless!
Conor Dwyer's reign of terror continues! 4:11.36 in the 500 and an 18.90 split in the 200 free relay.
Olympian Elizabeth Beisel got 3rd in the 500 free. I don't really think of her as a freestyler, though she did swim an A cut in the event... maybe the team needed her in there instead of the 200 IM?
Arianna Vanderplace went 21.34 in the 50 free. Very close to the 2009 American record! :applaud:

Probably a strategic decision. It's looking to be a tight race for the women's title in the SEC. Georgia is nine points ahead of Florida after day two.

We are timing at the SEC Championships. We briefly spoke to Rowdy this evening. He is very impressed with Conor Dwyer and is looking forward to more great swims from him.
The meet is very well-run and the stands are full of loud supporters!
She got the 100 free AR this morning, with a fomer Mason Mako qualifying 2nd :cheerleader::
That's an amazing time, and crazy fast for prelims. I'm interested to see how fast she goes in finals!

Oddly enough, she swam the exact same time in finals. 46.81.
