Soni's start was horrible. Almost half body length behind after the breakout?! Is she off the medley relay or is coach's discretion?
What a shock, I thought Soni / Hardy was a foregone conclusion.
but Breeja did have a stellar 2012 NCAA & now holds the AR

And speaking of upside, just how tall is she? She dwarfed Soni and Soni is about 5' 8". Some very tall winners last night with Larson and Grevers!
Franklin too. "Oh what a night" and still much more to come.

Andrea Kremer (sp?) is herself either very tall or was standing on a box for those interviews. :D

Breeja Larsen is tall. This article says she's nearly 6'1".
By the way, her coach Steve Bultman is no stranger to developing fast swimmers. in 1988 his high school swimmers Beth Barr, Andrea Hayes and Daniel Watters made the 1988 Olympic Team.
Keep your eyes on AGGIE swimmer Cammille Adams in the 200 fly, she's seeded 1st & swimming very well.

Phelps did not swim.
Will Lochte swim semi's or scratch, if he swims semis and makes finals will he scratch like he did in 2008?
I don't think his 49.33 is fast enough and he might need to go 48 mid
He doesn't have any other events tonight, but does have, 2 back semis right before the 1 free final which are right before the 2 IM semis.
My guess is yes to semis & not to finals.

Will Grevers swim the 2 bk?
my guess is no because in Friday's evening session the 2 bk semi is just before the 1 free final and he wouldn't want to risk it, unless he doesn't advance to finals in the 1 free which seems unlikely given his stellar 100 bk speed.
