  • NBC SPORTS GROUP PRESENTS MORE THAN 45 HOURS OF LIVE OLYMPIC TRIALS COVERAGE OVER THE NEXT THREE WEEKS Includes 15.5 Hours on NBC in Primetime ... I think NBC must have had a change of direction w.r.t. their sports coverage. I was surprised at how late the US Open golf tournament was scheduled to run into primetime yesterday. S

  • Missy Franklin's U.S. Olympic Trials could have five events, coach says Glad to see she's not entering the 200 IM. Based on her 200 IM at senior nationals last summer, she would not have made the team. Maybe not even the top 8. Of course, it's entirely possible that she's improved her breastroke since then.
  • I think Lochte wins the psych sheet with 11 events entered. :joker: Runner-up as far as I can tell is Elizabeth Beisel with 9. Let the scratches begin! • 196!!! entered in the women's 200 backstroke. Fortunately for the volunteers, there are, at most, only 10 heats of the men's 1500M. Welcome my friends, to the meet that never ends. We're so glad you qualified, come inside, come inside, The lanes are more than packed they're super packed Be careful arms don't crash, warming up, warming up. Take your seats, prelims about to roll, Two thousand swimmers going for the gold..... For 2016, it seems like it would be pretty easy to trim the field with only some small adjustments to the cuts. For example, there are 179 entries in the men's 50 free. If the cut had been 23.29 rather than 23.49, the number of qualifiers would have been 94. I don't think anyone would call an adjustment of 0.2 seconds unfair.

  • To help That Guy out: Thanks Rob! It's amazing that Janet Hu is in 8 events and yet I never noticed her name in the 2 hours or so that I studied the psych sheet. I guess I focused on higher seeded athletes.
