From Competition / Postals (on top USMS page):
"USMS holds five long distance postal championships each year: the One Hour, 5K, 10K, 3000 yd. and 6000 yd. events. Swimmers who complete all five championships in the same year will be sent a participation patch to honor their achievement."
The patch is pretty neat.
I thought I would bring this to general attention because only one week remains to complete the first postal swim.
Any stories, thoughts from ppl who completed the Postal Challenge in previous years?
I'm fairly new to USMS and swam my first postal event in January. When will the results be posted? I'm curious about how I did compared to others in in my age group. I'd like to swim in some meets but not if I can't hope to compete.

I don't know when the postal results will be posted, but you can look at our "Event Rankings" to see how you compare to others in your age group for any pool event.
1) Go to www.usms.org
2) Select the blue "Competition" tab across the top
3) Select "Event Rankings"
4) Select which course you swim (Short Course Yards, for example, if you swim in a 25-yard pool)
5) Select 2009-2010 season
6) Select your gender, event, age group
7) Select the top 200 listings to see more results
I am having a really hard time finding a 50 Meter pool to book space in for a 5K or a 10K. (Not to mention convincing a friend that watching me swim for 4 hours or so and recording my time is a REALLY FUN THING.)
Anyone got a good line on a pool in the greater NYC / Hudson Valley area that we could use?
5k and 10k now under way!
May 15 - September 15
How are they going?
I decided this year I would try to do them all and get this award. 1Hour and 5k done. 10k in 3 weeks.
