1. You open the door to the pool and get that first whiff of chlorine and think to yourself, "I love the smell of chlorine in the morning!"
2. Your new issue of Swimmer Magazine arrives :bliss: and you immediately sit down and read it cover to cover (including the ads!). But, then, the realization sets in that now you have to wait two months until the NEXT issue arrives.
3. You find yourself counting strokes instead of sheep to fall asleep at night. Then, just when you're about to fall asleep, instead of your leg twitching a little bit, it does a full whip kick :afraid:, and you ride the glide to slumberland... :bed:
Now it's your turn...
I am on my way into the hospital right now to do a semi-urgent procedure -- this was the only time anesthesia could fit me it. How do I know i am hooked on swimming? When scheduling yesterday, I was crushed to realize that it would mean missing my morning swim! Funny, I couldn't get any sympathy from my colleagues on this one (just one day they keep saying.....)
I hope you're okay! Good luck with your procedure! I also feel for you, missing a day or two of swimming just totally rips the life right out of you!

I have this same problem!! When I worked as a hospitalist, I could work every other day, and swim at lunch; now that I'm in an office, my lunch time keeps getting eaten up by patients patients patients!! Now I have to get up at the crack of dawn if I'm going to swim at all, & it's driving me crazy!! Why can't the patients just get scheduled between 8 & 11:30am, and then 1:30 & 5pm, and NO WORK-INS before my swim? It would sure be a lot more convenient. :shakeshead:

Thanks for you concern --I am sorry I wasn't clear before. I was performing the procedure, not the patient. Yes, everything went well but I still my swim!
Here is actually a current one:
when you're looking for a new apartment and your main focus is based on how near it is to your pool.

And to take it a bit further, you move to a good swimming state.
Where's the "You know your psycho about swimming when" thread?
Get lots of :bed: and get well soon, 'Fly!
Thanks - although I actually wished for a blast of chlorine to clear the sinuses this morning!
Oh well, I'll just have to try Michael's alcoholic remedy :chug:

Yep - you could also be a chocoholic :afraid:
You try to convince your boss that if the triathletes are getting shirts to wear with the company logo, then you should get a swimsuit with the company logo on it as well.
