I've noticed my Teva Mush flip flops smell awful when they are slightly wet & I leave them in my car. So I leave them outside my car on the window under my windshield wiper blades, they dry faster, don't stink up my car & so far they haven't been stolen. Done this with towels & suits too
dry rubber tech suits inside out
keep your goggles inside a case when you're not using them & they won't get as scratched up

LOL LOL....
My endurance spilt down the seems when I was taking it off after practice last week. Thankfully it was after. Def. keep an eye on the seams. Endurance suits don't give you much warning.
I switched from square-leg trunks (seam up the back) to briefs ("magnetic space," seam up the sides), so now I don't have to worry about it so much! And yes, my suit went with no warning, and like Elaine, I didn't feel a thing until my lane mate told me. (I still didn't believe him till I put my hand back there.)
Maybe not the right thread, but I just thought I'd update folks on the longevity of endurance swimsuits. My magnetic space brief, purchased Oct. 21, 2010, used 5-6 days a week, finally failed last week (June 15). Both side seams split at once, but the suit was still held together by the waist and leg seams, so no embarrassment factor! I got almost 8 months of almost constant use out of it, which I guess is a pretty good value. I've ordered another.
BTW, the fabric itself still looks like new. If they figured out a way to strengthen the stitching, they'd never sell another suit.:D
To extend life of your suit, after rinse dip in a solution of sodium thiosulfate. This salts out chlorine to a harmless form. Found at pet stores for fish tanks.
Not sure if mentioned elsewhere, but I've now found a simple and 100% effective way (and more civil way) to prevent goggles from fogging up: simply give your goggles a quick rinse with soapy water before swimming (then rinse it off with clear water).
Since I used this method, my goggles never, ever fogged again (the original anti fog coating had been scratched off long ago).
Highly recommend this method over spitting your saliva.
