  • I find eminem's song very unmoving. You're just not willing to lose yourself, are you? I'm not a huge fan of Mr. Mathers, but have to admit that song is pretty inspirational.

  • Great ones! I guess there's different quotes & media to motivate us in different ways. Some help us make the most of the moment. Some help us stay focused. Some help us over come adversity. It all depends on the situation. Like a college team who was badly losing a home game at half time. The team sat in the locker room dejected expecting some sort of pep talk from the coach. The coach poked his head through the door & said: "Excuse Me, I thought this was the Notre Dame Locker Room" (I can't remember what team it was or who the coach was.) He closed the door & chained it shut. The team had to break it down to get out and play the 2nd half. They did and they won! Please share inspiring tid bits here. Somethin that that moved you.     I have always liked Be The Change by MC Yogi or Dance Floor Metaphor By the Cruxshadows especially for the last 100m Holy crap a Cruxshadows reference! Ill tell Rogue next time I talk to him... BTW I like listening to the "The Citadel" as pre-race music... "We shall save this victory Without surrender or defeat"
  • My husband used to call me "Surf Dog" when we lived in San Diego and I surfed in my kayak. Now that I'm back to swimming and have joined Masters, he calls me "Aqua Dog". While I'm getting ready to head to the pool, all he has to do is hum the first six notes of "Aqualung", by Jethro Tull, and it fires me up! Although I don't care for the lyrics of the song AT ALL, the music is awesome, as is Ian Anderson. I just think of those first six notes and I'm ready to go! :bliss:

This morning there was a lot of weak stuff dissipating from this old body when I was swimming a 5x100 Fly all out sprint set on 5:00 interval. -------------------------- The more pain a Marine endures, the stronger he becomes.
