"Moussambani was denied entry into the 2004 Olympic Games due to a visa bungle, despite the vast improvement in his swimming over the previous four years, with his personal best down to under 57 seconds. He did not take part in the 2008 Summer Olympics."
Wow!! From 1:52 to sub :57 is pretty impressive.

That video is more moving than the seimfinalists that don't make it :2cents:
THIS. I think the kid's got heart showing up like that and putting on his best showing.
Besides, Equatorial Guinea record, right? I'll bet he got to meet the President and Prime Minister for that. Good on him!

Considering he had taken up swimming only 8 months before the Olympic trial, it was impressive enough. He could even dive off the starting block. :D

I don't think he ever did a sub 57.
It could be possible, but I doubt it. The great Ion makes a compelling case about starting swimming later in life.
