Best of Success Ahelee, hope you swim well!!
  • Sorry for the remedial question but I'm not going to be showing up until Friday morning with first event being the 50 *** at noon. How soon should I arrive so that I register properly and can change and warm up? I actually have to check in to the hotel and take the shuttle over (as well).Thanks. Get there as early as you can! That way you have time to check things out around the pool - take care of business - check in with FORT & her gang.... and then get ready to swim. If you're going to Atlanta for Nationals - get to the pool and enjoy it! Its far more than a competition, its a swimming social. And that's one of the reasons so many of us continue to swim outside of anything else to stay fit. See you on deck!
  • To everyone going to Atlanta for Nationals, Best of luck. Swim hard, swim fast and most of all have fun. Give your tech suits a big sendoff. Dave

  • had a great time with y'all in Hotlanta please share your memories about the meet here and post any links to videos and photos here to archive for posterity Hey Ande! I wrote a bunch in other threads, but I can't remember which ones... But, I did write something that ended up in the Georgia Masters newsletter, so here it is: First of all, a big THANKS to Ed Saltzman and all the volunteers for making Nationals an enjoyable, FUN experience for this newbie Masters swimmer! I had a blast over these past three days and really appreciate all the hard work that was put in by all of you to make this such a special experience. And, congratulations to all of my fellow forumites who broke records and personal bests! My glass of champagne is next to my computer and I'm now going to toast to you all! Cheers!!! The best part of my experience was meeting swimmers from all over: Ande, Allen Stark, Alison, Anna Lea, Jim, Leslie, STUD (Thanks for the laugh!) , Tracy, Speedo, and Paul. I'm sorry I didn't get to meet everyone. . . . . . . Elaine Krugman
  • I loved meeting you, too Elaine. And all the other forumites. At times I'm still on the post-Nationals "high" and wish I could go to Puerto Rico. Me to, but it's not in the budget, unfortunately. So, instead, I'm swimming in an LCM developmental meet, Aug. 1, not to train for Nationals this year, but to start getting ready for Auburn, in 2011! Well, what I mean is... I've never trained or competed in an LCM pool before, so it will be my first chance to see what it's like- and to see if I can survive the 200M breaststroke! :afraid:

I have 2 more LCM meets this season, 1 is age group. Ack!
