Time to gloat...What are your best rankings for SCM?
:applaud:
Not all meet results are in yet! Remember, the BIGGEST SCM meet of the year was on the right side of the coast just last weekend.
December 15th is the furthest into the season that I've ever been #1 in an event! It doesn't even make sense - I'm tied for 17th in the 100 fly, but I'm #1 in the 200!
I'd like to thank all the fast guys who forgot to enter the 200 SCM fly this year. Thanks also to those who got lost on the way to the pool, and I'd like to observe a moment of silence now for those who had pianos land on them in what can honestly be a scary event. Proceeds from this speech will go to the families of piano victims worldwide. I'M THE KING OF THE WORLD!!!!
Anyway I'm sure there are some more Masters meets to come before the end of the month, some results that aren't in the database yet, USAS results that aren't in there yet either, etc.
8th in 100 BR, 6th in 200 BR. 11th in the 50 BR. ERRR.... Time to switch strokes.
I might be doomed if there was a big SCM meet recently. Oh well. It's too late now. :frustrated:
Some people like to be part of the "biggest" others take part in the "fastest " :applaud:
You would have fit right in on the right side then ... :)
Allen, I feel your pain. I'm destined for some #2s with KPN in my age group.
Though my 50 evil split request is somehow, inexplicably, probably won't last, currently #1. HTH did that happen? lol This just proves no one really likes to swim this stroke except Allen and Stud.
Way to go, That Guy. Excellent stuff. :)

Thanks Fort! You and I can take turns checking the database every day until we inevitably meet our downfall... :)

Easy to settle - the fastest event is the 50 Free -- we can just compare winning times across all age groups for Men and Women and settle it for this year ....
Speaking of 50 Free - if you want a good laugh, check out the final heat of the 50 Free -- I am the one left standing at the blocks :badday: -- I did not hear "take your marks" (it was very noisy at the start) - not the race to miss the start ....

I'm still wondering why they didn't reswim the race. Or let you swim alone. Or something. Everyone was screaming the whole race for a recall.
With all due respect, I think the men's 45-49 BR age group is one of the most fearsome. Guthrie, Blank, Dicks, Weismann, Fristoe, etc.
Perhaps only the men's 40-44 age group is more terrifying.:notworthy:
Let's not forget the men's 50-54 age group: Gaines, Groselle, Morales, Bugg, Smith, Specht...
Jim, I remember standing in the hot sun on deck at Clovis one day commiserating with myself over my finishes in the brutal 45-49s. In a stroke of what I thought was brilliance, or at least a darn good idea, I thought to see where I would have placed in the 50-54 results, a group I will be a proud member of for meters come January 1. Oops, never mind. Almost across the board I would have finished even further down the ladder. It's a tough world out there.
