excellent swims
problem with HS meets is swimmers are limited to 2 individual events
they also have to make regionals in those events to go to state
I'm sure she could break several more records plus she's probably racing in the
Tyr Tracer Light Short John or the Speedo FS Pro Recordbreaker Kneeskin
Gee, I guess she has handled the change from tech-suits to non-tech suits pretty darn well.
Congrats on those swims!!!
Further proof, the swimmer does the work, not the suit. Maybe we can get our suits back.

Now, the real problem is that they discriminate against the endurance swimmers. Sometimes, the 500 free is controlled sprint compared to the 400 LCM free. I think that I could have had a shot a HS state title if there was a 200 fly or a Top 6 finish in the 400 IM. If you don't have any sprinting ability, don't waste your time with HS swimming. Maybe distance kids should do the freshman year of HS swimming just for the experience. After that, don't bother.

This isn't true everywhere (regionals, that is). In Michigan you just had to make the qualifying times for states. Also, I think Dagny Knutson could make it to states in North Dakota while holding a ten pound diving brick.

I am guessing that in North Dakota, if you show up to the State Championship, they will let your swim whatever you want! :)

Hmm, state championships...wish California would get on board with that. Some of the most talented high school swimmers come out of the state and we never get to see them at anything beyond a regional meet.
