got this press release blueseventy NeroTX suits set for January launch blueseventy is getting close to finalising its new swimwear designs for 2010. Following FINAs ban on full body suits, the innovative New Zealand brand has been working hard to design, test and select its 2010 product range ahead of the FINA deadline for submission in November. CEO Steve Nicholls commented: “We’re now in the final stages of our new range. It’s critically important to us to launch a range that has been fully tested, and that we are 100% happy with. We’ve spent a lot of time and money on swim testing, in the flume as well as fabric testing in the lab, and we’ve been careful to ensure neroTX meets FINA’s new regulations. “We intend to launch a range that we are confident will perform at the highest levels. We’re completely committed to swimming and having seen our suits break world records this year we have set very high standards and built a loyal following of swimmers around the world. “As well as our swimwear range, we have developed a carbon goggle that is lighter and faster than any other goggle we have tested. We’re constantly looking at technology from other sports that we can apply to the water to help swimmers go faster. Carbon has revolutionised performances in cycling and triathlon, and we think it will have a big impact on swimming as well.” The brand new NeroTX range will be available from January 2010 and a limited number of Carbon RZR goggles are already in circulation ahead of mass production in time for the 2010 season. • At first I thought this was just a case of misplaced letters, where Bobinator meant to say " I can't wait to see what it's like!" But then I realized it was not a mistake, but rather done on purpose to draw our attention to its real meaning -- which is a diabolically clever anagram intended to give us a preview of the new suits. So like my name says, I de-syphered it. When properly unraveled, the anagram reads: "I test one! Like at a swi' with cat" So Bobinator is in fact letting us know of inside information. Sadly, the information about the suits depends on how you feel about felines, or at least how you feel about them in the pool. So I can only conclude that the results will be a mixed bag. Unless of course it is referring to the "Cat" which is the name of the high speed ship that goes between Portland Maine and Halifax N.S. Very clever indeed! And telling us the suit will in fact be fast! So this is good news, after all. We will be pleased with the new NeroTX! Another puzzle solved. You are giving me way too much credit! I'm not sure what I did but it was a whoops! :)
  • I've decided not to buy a new suit until the earlist May 2010. I have one last meet in June before Worlds in Aug. I would like to test a new suit before worlds. I heard a funny story about the Danish Masters Open. Someone in the 25-29 group was all set to swim the 100m fly. Wearing an Arena fullbody, when he took his marks, he wound up exposing himself to the timer standing behind him. He wound up falling in and not being able to swim, but I would be very very disappointed if I missed a race because of my suit.
  • You are giving me way too much credit! I'm not sure what I did but it was a whoops! :) Just having fun, Ms. Bob ( if I may be so bold), after a long day. :chug:. How long you say? Imagine your spouse in a conversation with their 88 y.o. mother in the ER where they have to spend 20 minutes to convince their mother that she is in fact not actually dead. Hard to imagine, isn't it? Kind of like being trapped in a Monty Python movie (bring out yer dead!), but through the looking glass with the roles reversed. That kind of day.
  • Nice! Can't wait to see what they look like. I have to get a new jammer anyway by that time.
